Requirements
Toyota was looking for a technological and application update and new features in the management of lean processes. However, for Toyota it was essential to safeguard production efficiency also and above all during the go live of the new ERP. This was the real barrier to change.
Approach
The change management project was preparatory to the implementation of Oracle JD Edwards ERP. The key to activating the change was designing and communicating a digital transformation plan around the goal of minimizing the risks of impact on production effectiveness.
Work was done on the one hand to create a sustainable vision consistent with long-term objectives, and on the other to precisely quantify the activities, planning their times, costs and qualitative content.
PROCESS OPTIMIZATION
The work done with about forty key users and subsequently on all the users of the new system (about 200) has eliminated resistance and allowed:
– optimization and harmonization of processes
– big bang go live with total respect of the times
– achievement of all project objectives.
